I had an apartment off campus on Avent Ferry right on Lake Johnson it was one of my favorite apartments ever. I miss Raleigh too, and would love to live there if I could get my business going easily. I have season tickets for NC state as well, and went to only six games this season. :(

you'd have to be kidding if you started arguing that college is higher skill than NBA, on the other hand, its still pretty damn good, and thats why people watch it, for the entertainment.
When I (or alot of the people i know) play tennis, our foot speed and racket speed is nowhere near Nadal's, but people still gather to cheer us on, and I do the same when watching national or provincial level tournaments. The skill level is up there, and I respect that.
Just for sh!ts and giggles, I see TONS of blocks when I watch NCAA, so there must be SOME d.

You don't think a good number of matches between the 2 Merseyside rivals, or heck, even the Manchester City rivals, over the years have not been classics?

What about Real Madrid and Barcelona? Rangers and Celtics? The matches are played with high drama and the derby's always have a lot of emotion attached, regardless of the teams performance in the league to that point.

The only thing I can think of is that you don't understand the meaning of the term "derby" in which case I suppose your ignorance can be overlooked.

I always thought the reason it was so popular was because it was so cheap to play. All you need is a ball. That way 3rd world country kids can play it.

Just because it doesn't have 20 commercial breaks and cheerleaders doesn't make it boring :)

And yes, because all the teams I listed are 3'rd world nations, I guess your point is proven.

College basketball is decent entertainment, nothing more. Once in a while, someone like Laettner will hit a ridiculous shot. College football is far more entertaining, guys making plays like Vince Young in 2004 (pretty much the whole season) make it fun.
