I say that the bastard should go to jail. I have no tolerance for driving under the influence. I hope that they throw the dummy under the jail.

:(

Fwiw, the guy he ran over was NOT in a pedestrian lane and anyone who has ever been to Miami will know that you don't just run across that causeway without the possible of incident. But that doesn't excuse driving under the influence.

However, there was the recent case of the state of California having to pay over $8 million in damages to a drunk motorcyclist who collided with a boar in the middle of the road at night because it was claimed that even if he was under the influence and over the limit, he could not have avoided the accident.

I wonder what we will see here.

Send his ass to jail. I can't stand people who drive drunk. I used to be one of those that did it all the time...hell, just about everyday. I had a lot of close calls, but the only person who ever got hurt was me. I learned my lesson after a friend of mine who NEVER did it killed someone after getting drunk for the first time and got behind the wheel. Friends don't let friends drive drunk...unfortunately, he didn't have any friends with him at the time.
