The monitor on the left is a 30", 25X16, 92% color gamut Dell 3007 WFP-HC, widely considered one of the best gaming monitors on the planet. On 4/24/09, it will be 4 months since I've used it, and all I'd have to do is plug it in. (I also have a 24" 19X12 NEC monitor I no longer game on)

3d Vision does indeed feel bigger than 22", it's because you look "into" the monitor, rather than "at" the monitor.

For me, the added immersion this provides is something I won't game without now that I've done it. I'd say the user experience is somewhat like the difference in driving in Nascar, and playing a Nascar game on your 360.

Obviously it's not "that" realistic, but it is totally different than anything else.

Hi Rollo and thanks for the reply!

Yeah I am totaly sold and have read a nice thread on Rage3D and everything I could find on the net so count me in I will definetly buy this 3D vision kit as soon it's available!

And as you said your 30 inch thats the best one can get and you wouldent tuch it just speaks for itself and I have read that other who have 30 monitors said the same they wont tuch it for a minute anymore :D

Oh man I cant even sleep or think anything other then 3D vision I really must have it :D

Thanks again for the reply!

You're welcome and I think you'll enjoy it! Definitely changes the gaming experience for the better, goes from being a battle of pictures to a battle of action figures.

Everyone who tested it cant praise it enought so im sure I am in for a ride and this is the injection needed I think to take it all to the next level.

And then think about upcoming games as devs will start incorporate out of screen effects and such. yeap this will/ has changed gaming forever and once again nVidia is leeding the pack.

I wonder how one will react, say playing a horror game late at night with good headphones on it must be woow and surely ppl will sh.. in their pants :D

I don't think so.

Take Star Wars for instance, Mostly CGI anyway.

Done shoddily everything could look like cardboard cutouts but you don't have to wrap every tiny detail in high poly's to give an effective 3D effect.

Software would do most of the work.

And robots will take our jerbs.

Seems as though you CAN use a converter with 3D Vision on CRT's ,And works on 100hz.

Star Wars didn't use CG until Episode 1.

Plus, after CG has been rendered, its all just film. To create a 3D effect they'd have to go back and re-render every scene from a slightly different angle. Assuming they still have all of the working files from the movie.

The older ones used physical models and green screens, so there isn't any way they could go back and do that. Plus, the special effects were basically hand drawn over the film to create the light sabers and lasers.

Unless they come up with some crazy software that can turn every scene in every frame of Star Wars into a 3D scene I don't think we'll ever see this.
