View Full Version : vista wireless sleep problems

Ok, i just bought a new desktop for my parents and i've been using a wireless usb adapter to connect to the internet. Well everything works fine until it goes into sleep mode. Once i wake it up the adapter completely fails, it doesnt recognize any networks, its like i don't even have it plugged in. The only way to fix it, is to unplug then plug it back in. I've been search the web for a few hours and this seems to be a big problem with vista. I've tried all the power management options to no avail. I'm at a loss here. Any suggestions?:headexplode:

try looking for a vista-certified one. Also, did you look for drivers?

Try this and see if it works.
Control panel> device mgmr > Network adaptors> right click> properties, and select the power management tab. From there untick allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
