I bought 'DCS Black Shark' via digital download yesterday..

My God.

It's like joining the air force and learning to fly a helicopter from scratch.

Absolutely authentic.

Check this out. The simHQ preview.

If you're into hardcore sims, you have to get this - but it's full on.

(56 buttons just to get the thing started in authentic flight mode.)

Here's another cracker.

Seriously, this is like owning your own attack helicopter and having to learn to fly the beast.

Get it here:

(Seriously feels like you're flying - mouse look around this amazing ****pit - every button clickable or turnable and fly with stick. Awesome.)

Really recommend you watch the vid, or type the name into youtube, there's a big fanbase growing around it now - especially since FlightSim has been cancelled.

Hehe:

They censored the word ****pit.

Lol..the fully functioning ****pit kills me. I think this is how all sims should go. Id spend hours flipping switches and turning dials. They have the ****pit spot on, now they just need to improve their terrain engine abit.

No probs at all - there's already downloadable terrain packs that add hires textures / skins etc. Loads of third party support and amazing reviews from real pilots...

Wow that does look very realistic.

Put it this way, I just bough the trackir4 motion tracker just to get that extra immersion.

The ENTIRE ****pit is clickable / turnable.

We're talking full flight checks and booting sequences just to get the ****er off the ground.

Love it.

This can't be possible because all the HAWX threads say they don't make sims anymore.

Yep, very 20th Century :(

But never mind, Rise of Flight soonish and the Korea sim before the biggie - Storm of War: Battle of Britain. Beautiful terrain engines, real sims. Not so many buttons in Rise of Flight :)

From the looks of it it's a LOT more complex than Lomac !

Incoming bandits!! Scramble!

Ehrm, can you tell them to hold on for a sec? I'm still flicking my switches. Seriously lol.

There are emergency takeoff procedures that allows fast takeoff bypassing system checks according to what I read about it.

Wow, That's retarded.

Only if you are used to 6 button HAWX. For flight simmers its called accuracy and the sim is praised for its complexity.

So retarded it got an 9.2 on IGN http://pc.ign.com/articles/945/945520p2.html

"Closing Comments

We could keep going on about how polished BS is for a sim, or how insanely stable it is, or the astonishing lack of bugs, but we’d rather you experience the game than listen to us blather on about it. If you’ve fostered dreams of being a pilot, or love old-school complicated PC games, or are a simmer on the fence about a game with relatively little exposure, help support the simming genre and have a damn good time while you’re at it. On the other hand, if you get bored reading manuals or prefer arcade action flyers, stay the hell away from this virtual ****pit."

Pretty much sums it all up.

Wow it sucks I'm still able to see that retards comments when someone quotes him.
Aceflier
I would go ahead and add him to your ignore list. Great closing comments and this is a fantastic simulation. Not for the type of people who take a PS3 controller and shove it up their butt and play through all the metal gear cinemas while looking at Spiderman porn.

+1 to sticky the other thread.
