But instead of uploading DX10 executable file they upload another DX9.0 having right name (HAWX_dx10).

Really :thumbdwn:

too bad the patch still doesn't enable it to even start up on mine... Everything else works fine. I get a dump file error output when I run the game. No splash screen or anything.

if you check ubi forums it says to run DX9 exe in win xp compability mode and it will work.

It runs fine under Vista x64. I had to copy over retail dx10 file. Seriously, can they even upload the right file?

I can go to online but it seems nobody is at home.

Steam ****ed this game up big time.

I'm afraid I have no choice seeing as to how I'm running XP with DX9. :(

Steam makes strange mistakes sometimes, last week they uploaded an alpha build of Merchants of Brooklyn, and a couple of days ago GTA IV 1.0.3 patch was incomplete.

Yeah, the only real flaw with Steam is these amateur kind of mistakes, listing games as coming out sooner than they really do, releasing the wrong patch, etc. etc.. That and their lack of communication about these things (a simple forum post: we're working on getting the DX10 exe uploaded, would make a lot of people happier).

You would think with all the money they are likely making they could afford to hire some more people to prevent these errors.
