MSL is finally in Seattle. We are 2-0, will this continue? I have no idea but we should have a good shot at making the play offs with this new team. Even if we don't I think we will have a season above .500.
I was at the inaugural game. Here are some pics from the fun. The fan support at the games are great. I am already a die-hard fan.

I have liked soccer all my life. Played it all my life. My two brothers played all their lives. My mom was on a woman's team when I was young. My dad was a player, coach and ref for the college level.
I grew up with Pele, Beckenbauer, Platini, Rummenigge, Schumacher, Socrates and all the other stars. From the 80s and 70s. I even went to Switzerland vs. Columbia at the 1994 wold cup in Stanford Stadium.
Of course Pele and Beckenbauer were older when they played in the old NASL but I got to see both play. I was even at Pele's last game against the Sounders. How many here can say they got to see Pele and Beckenbauer play at any level?
Yes I call it soccer cuz that is the traditional term we us here in the US.
BTW you Brits invented the term soccer, so don't harp on us too bad for using your term. ;)
Good to hear Stubs.
I spent a year in Spain (mid 90s) studying and working and following Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Some of the funnest times I've ever had were in the tailgate parties and subway rides back home for the post parties.
Sleep? What is that? Oh, other than the siesta, not much of it! Just dont get me started talking about Argentina (love hate thing).

I HATE Argentian. When ever I see the "hand of God" play I want to break my TV. I can't stand that short fat communist cokehead.

LOL...for once I agree with you 100% and wholeheartedly. He should stick to his TV talk show...I am very distraught he is now the manager for the team. I say he should go back to his coca habit and be done with soccer.
I'm talking about Tevez, Messi etc...those guys are where it was/is at.
Damn, I want to go kick some balls now...where is LaZer when you need him, that good for nuthing....;)

Those are some great players.
I'm really impressed how far the US national team has come... looking forward to see how they do in the World Cup next year.... in 94 I went to the US v Columbia match at the Rose Bowl.. to bad England didn't qualify :(
As for the MLS.. I follow the Galaxy. The whole Beckham thing was poor judgment on his part, I think he thought that he was finished with the English national team... so why not finish his career in good ol sunny Ca.
I'm just wondering how the Galaxy fans will react when he comes back.
Argentina are looking good at the moment.... the hand of god sickens me also :thumbdwn: if we had won that game I think the WC would have been our's.
