The PC will most definitely be an optimized version. For example, if you have a fast SLI/Crossfire rig, you can turn on per pixel screen space ambient occlusion. The game will perform up to 64 raytraces per pixel on the screen to increase the detail level. That is something you cannot do on the current consoles. Plus you can increase shadow map resolution and use super high resolution textures if you have the memory!

I tried this out on the 360 at New York Comic Con in February. It was fun as hell, and its nice to see all the original actors reprise their roles. Although the gameplay demo'ed did feel like it could get repetitive if used for an entire game, but I hope they have many more tricks up their sleeves than what I saw.

Funny thing is that they never mention anything about performance... is it going to end up like Crysis where you "could/can" do those features but it wont be playable untill hardware catches up anothe year from now?

It will be heavy, they recomend SLI for using SSAO as a GTX 285 will have a hard time for the viceral splendor :D

That is good if they do a good job for all platform and. Here they have said that PS3 is the lead platform :cool:
http://www.psu.com/PS3-leads-the-way-for-Ghostbusters--a006207-p0.php

“The PS3 is a more demanding system to develop on and it is what the Infernal Engine was designed to exploit from the ground up. With the multiple SPU’s it has onboard a solid multithreaded engine design can really take advantage of that and give you some amazing results.”

Next you'll see them tell an xbox360 magazine/site that the 360 is the leading platform...

Actually they have said from the beginning that the PS3 is the lead platform since A) It's a Sony IP and B) The PS3 has the hardest architecture so its easier to port from rather then to.

My fiance loved Charmed and we have the whole series on DVD. Can't say that I ever objected.

Yea Terminal Reality + Atari... Should be interesting

I'm quite interested to see what they can pull off. It sounds like the game will be able to scale to an 8 core box and use SLI. If the scaling works well you'll be able to use everything your pc has to run the game with the highest IQ. :captnkill:

I just hope they keep away from Steam, GFWL, Gamespy, etc. I really don't want to have to install 100 extra programs and sign in every time I want to play the game.

4/5

My only real issue with the game was that at times it became a bit repetitious to constantly run through an environment looking for a ghost, then to chase the ghost, battle the ghost and his minions, and the inevitable boss battle.

Console = co-op
PC = single player only

For this game, console > PC (thank you, developers)
