I think the nhancer is borking things. I can get burnout to play at 32q with control panel, but the second I go to a high setting (SLIAA 64x) in nhancer, things freeze up.

i reinstalled the 65 again.

meth, you might be right, i think the nhancer does break it. this time i'm not using nhancer and everything except hl2 games work.

Although performance is great and no issues in any games that I've tried... they don't seem to be saving my game Profile settings, so I'm going to try 182.50...

Yeah, I'm just using CP and so far nothing is screwed up other than Half-Life 2 and Episode 1.

Since I can't even tell ambient occlusion is on though, I'll probably revert to the WHQL drivers.

i will probably go with WHQL tomorrow, 185.65 has nice performance improvement, but buggy

@ChrisRay, is this where the development of these drivers will sit for now? Will there be an official version? At present they seem a little too raw for my tastes to put on the main system.

I've been taking some screenies of before and after ambient occlusion in Dead Space, FEAR 2 and Assassin's Creed... is it bad that I can't see any difference at all?

I see the difference in the Bioshock pics posted in this thread.

Same here, I don't see a difference ingame. I used to have a keen eye.

These driver suck plain and simple. I've yet to use a 185.xx release that wasn't all jacked up. Of course there are performance increases :thumbdwn: but when they aren't stable for 24/7 usage what's the point.

In Vista x64 I have numerous explorer crashes with these so I never even bothered to load a game before uninstalling them. They are beta, plain and simple, but it's nice to see what Nvidia is up to though. Can't wait for a releasable version.

I'm not seeing issue yet with the 185.66 version. How about you folks?

Weird Half-Life 2 vanilla is borked, but cinematic mod 9.5 + ambienot occlusion...OMG....looks so nice, a little dark in spots but really adds to the realism. Makes another play through worth it. Otherwise I have seen no errors with 185.65 yet....loveing the increase in world of warcraft too.

All good for me with 185.65 and .66. Occlusion works fine, no issues at all :)

Woow just tested the 185.66 and just woow, it's like night and day in Bioshock. couldent belive how much better OC is.
it's like taking away those lowrez textures and vaseline filter. okey not to much of that crap in Bioshock but it is to some degree but with AO on theres none. impressed I just love this it's like getting a new monitor or a new game WOOW!

My hat off to nVidia now I can finaly enjoy Bioshock as it's so much cleaner and meaner looking. way to go this rocks :D

BTW, Mirrors Edge did not work with this driver for me but its only beta!

Back to Bioshock ASAP. I luuve this woow!!

hmm

For those Nvidia video card and WinXP owners out there, listen up. The new beta drivers that came out can give up to an 11% increase in CoD:WW. Read below:

This driver supports GeForce 9-series, 100-series, and 200-series desktop GPUs.

New in Release 185.66:

o Adds support for the new GeForce GTX 275 GPU.
o Adds support for CUDA 2.2 for improved performance in GPU Computing applications. See www.nvidia.com/cuda for more details.
o Accelerates performance in several 3D applications. The following are examples of improvements measured with Release 185 drivers vs. Release 182 drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):
o Up to 11% performance increase in Call of Duty: World at War
o Up to 5% performance increase Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
o Up to 22% performance increase Crysis: Warhead with antialiasing enabled
o Up to 11% performance increase in Fallout 3 with antialiasing enabled
o Up to 14% performance increase in Far Cry 2
o Up to 45% performance increase in Mirror’s Edge with antialiasing enabled
It would be nice if this boost was for Vista also. This is definitely worth trying the beta drivers if you use WinXP and you play CoD:WW.

for starters your video card is not supported, so if you did install the driver, you or someone that modded the driver didn't do it correctly.
