Wrong patch man. :)

Anyway I have LOD installed so I have the 800x600 res. :)

Just log onto battle.net. It'll autopatch you up to the most recent version.

Blizzard do not offer or support the resolution patch that was made to play the original Diablo 2 at 800x600.

You could probably get it to work with PowerStrip as well.

really? my bad....o yea, u have to havd LOD to play at 800x600....at least i think it works that way. had it on an older comp, played it, was too slow, set it back to 640x480. hmmm....i might have to dig up D2 again.....

So... Having LoD allows the orignal Diablo 2 to run in 800x600? How is this possible? I thought that it wouldn't be possible because it was 2D and therefore all of the artwork was stuck at 640x480.

Hmmmm... I wonder why there is no 800x600 patch for SC, it would own.

.....it is. i just increases the visible area. the artwork isn't scaleable.

I do remember just after (or was it before?)Lod was released there was a "hacked" patch for original D2 that added 800x600 res. it was based on the first 1.08 version and since that one I havent seen any hacked patches. It should be noted that after lod was released I bought the game thus i got official support for 800x600 so I didnt bother do check for more "hacked patches".

They might still be avalible and up to date.

You could do some google searches for D2 800x600 mods.

i never checked....the last time i really played D2 was right after i got the LOD expansion for two bucks from wizards of the coast, and installed it on my iMac. in 800x600, the speed was terrible, so i didn't bother with it.
