i was just ready with my wc loop powerd on the pc and 1 long and 3 short beeps put in my old 7800gtx and the comp works have to put the orginalcooler on and do a rma :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( on my gainward280

I'm not quite sure I understand,you watercooled your gtx and now it wont work??? It's still Rma-able(thats the verb)??? Crooked *****:o

The 7800GTX is a great card but it will never be a 280GTX....Goodluck with the Gainward customer support btw.

i hope il get a gtx280 back from my rma or i must buy a new ek fullcoverblock fore the 285 and thats is expansive
and i do not rma it to gainward to the shop i bought it komplett.se

Shame, faulty cards are a pain, or rather the time required to send it back and get a replacement is, on the plus side if they refuse then at least you have a reason to upgrade. :/

or dismatle the waterloop to get the card :( and remove the waterblock and put the geforce cooler back :(

just got a mail from komplett and i can go and get a GTX285 :D
and is it worth to spend some extra $ to get the 2 gig version?

Did the GPU waterblock you put on spring a leak? Or was there a leak somewhere else that got it? Or was there no leak at all and the card just went?

no leak just did die on me
bad mounting of the waterblock ? i do not know
