Follow the directions below.
1 - Download the attached file to a convenient location (desktop is fine).
2 - Extract the only file within it, rules.xml.
3 - Open IE8, click tools > manage addons.
4 - From the addons screen, select InPrivate Filtering.
5 - Select the import button at the bottom right, find rules.xml (wherever you put it), and import. Close the window.
There you go, Adblock Plus on IE8. Works nicely, but I've found two flaws. First, it doesn't auto update, so you'll have to update the rules yourself (or just follow the links below). Secondly, no subscriptions. It's not as attractive. Still, it's a great workaround for those who like IE8, and are getting impatient on the IEPro update that makes the adblocker and flashblocker fully compatible with IE8.
