Wow, no respect for poor Chris Paul.
I guess setting steals records is not enough for DEFENSIVE PLAYER honors these days :)

We don't need any more of these threads. The great Tygerwoody spoke of these awards many moons ago.
Its that time again. Submit who you think will win each award!
MVP: Lebron James
Rookie of the Year: Derrick Rose
Coach of the Year: Mike Brown
Defensive Player of the Year: Dwight Howard (with Lebron James coming in at 2nd)
Most Improved Player: Devin Harris
6th Man of the Year: Jason Terry(with J.R. Smith at 2nd)
The only one I'm not so sure about is Devin Harris for most improved. He started slacking towards the end of the season. He's still a candidate for sure, but players like Brandon Roy went from an All Star caliber player to be knocking on the door of the status Lebron, Dwayne, and Kobe. He's not at their level just yet, but he made tremendous progress this year, especially when you consider he was one of the top stars in the league anyway. That is some major improvement in my book.
Honestly, we have a lot of players that deserve most improved. I think all the awards are easy to predict this year, other than most improved. Lebron James and Dwight Howard are in an entirely different realm defense wise than they were last year. Does that deserve most improved? Brandon Roy improved his game all around to bring him in talks with the NBA's best. Does that deserve most improved? Then we have players like Devin Harris. Which, lets be honest. He was a scrub. To go from a scrub to where he is this year is the most dramatic improvement. However, he has not been consistent. Maybe his inconsistencies ruin his chances at winning? Danny Grainger is also another name that has improved a great deal. He's another candidate. Too bad he's on a piss poor sorry team so you can't see his true skills.
NBA God has spoken.
