I think Orlando will get a few games from Cleveland, but ultimately lose the series.
I also think that Houston might get a big upset versus LA... they are playing very well right now, unfortunately.
Honestly, I think that the Nuggets are the only team that could take down the Lakers. Everyone else is pretty weak.
Have to throw both Portland and Houston into the mix.
Both those guys have played the Lakers tougher this season than Denver has. Denver is a good team but they got demolished in their last game against the Lakers. And the Lakers looked like they were in cruise control (think Cavaliers v/s Detroit)

Portland's going to lose that series though.
If Houston continues to play out of their minds, they can beat LA. They really play team basketball on offense, they are tenacious offensive rebounders, and also very solid D. LA might be too soft.
IMO, the playoffs have been great so far. The Utah/LA and Detroit/Cavs series are lame, but they are 1 v 8 seeds, so no big surprise. Every other series is going back and forth, and there have been some very good games.
Tygerwoody, what more could you ask for you malcontent? :D :p

WOW! Didn't see that one coming....
It's a good thing the fans spent hundreds of dollars to watch their team's bus show up to the arena in New Orleans

The team and the fans got OWNED.
At the rate these playoffs are going, I have a feeling Cleveland will (be handed the trophy) win it all.
I am watching stars playing all night long and not getting fouls called.
Lebron runs over people and gets fouls called, both ends of the court.
It seems pre-ordained.

I have issues with Yao Ming getting calls... and then not getting calls on him. It's as if the Chinese had a hand in this...

lakers win.
OMG Denver just won by 58 points. :wonder:
I think the local High School team could come pretty close to that on a good night. That's absolutely pathetic for a modern NBA playoff game.

The second round of the playoffs should be much better
Cavs vs Heat
Bulls vs. Magic
Lakers vs. Rockets
Nuggets vs. Mavs
On second thought.... that round sucks too. Lets see the conference finals.
Cavs vs. Magic
Lakers vs. Nuggets
There we go. Now THATS going to be some good basketball.

Don't know about this one. The Hawks could give the Cavs a game. Wade seems to have thrown out his back which means Miami could be done. He looked in a lot of pain last night.
Bulls vs. Magic
This would be a good series :D
Lakers vs. Rockets
Another good series as they match up very well.
Nuggets vs. Mavs
Probably a big wild-card series as no one knows which version of the Mavs will actually show up. The Nuggets themselves blow hot and cold.

The Magic have looked really shaky but that looks about right.

Well. It looks like the Sixers have the next game in their hands.

Dwight Howard will be suspended for at least a game for that.

He deserves to be suspended. I know that it can get a bit heated playing ball, but you don't have to resort to elbowing a person in the head because he's posting you up.

They might not even suspend him. Dwight Howard = Big Money for the NBA. It might not be worth it to suspend him for fear that it will cost the Magic its first round victory. I mean really, who wants to see more of the 76'ers play?

He was suspended. (http://www.nba.com/2009/playoffs2009/04/29/magic.howard.ap/index.html) Like I said earlier, he deserved to be suspended. The Magic is lucky that he wasn't ejected from the game too. If that was to happen, they (Magic) would be out of this series going into philly tomorrow.
I agree with this decision completely.
However, I am still waiting to find out how the hell Rajon Rondo was NOT suspended for his ridiculous foul on Brad Miller last night.
He clearly went for the head, he HIT HIM in the head, he HIT HIM HARD in the head and the ball was several feet away from where Rajon aimed.
A cheap shot and a disoriented Miller missed the first free-throw after he hit the deck thereby allowing Boston to clinch.
Actually 2 things, first, I cannot believe that was not called a flagrant (meaning freethrows AND possession for Chicago) and second, I can't believe there is no suspension.
They are correct about Howard but totally dropped the ball over Rondo.
p.s. I happen to be a huge fan of Rondo and his game.
-edit-
Looks like no death, no foul.

I guess the fact that Brad Miller was bleeding from the mouth and stumbling around after the whack across the face was all in a day's work.
Kudos to the NBA for once again being consistent. Fwiw, Howard barely grazed Dalmebert, watch what happened with Miller.

I disagree with Jalen Rose because Rondo clearly didn't aim for the ball.

You're right. He said himself that he was trying to stop Brad from going to the hole. Rondo should be suspended as well.

Chicago and Boston. All I can say is....wow. This is the best game I've seen so far of the playoffs.

I hate the Celtics. I hope Chicago runs them out on a rail in game 7.
I can't stand that arrogant little prick Paul Pierce.
I hope Rondo get's suspended for the rest of these playoffs.
He has at least 3 or 4 CLEAR plays where he is purposefully instigating or attacking players.
Him pulling Heinrich off the court and then throwing him against the scorers table should have been an automatic ejection. David Stern and his boys need to stop being ****ing pussies and be consistent. Perkins and Big Baby were setting illegal moving picks all night and the refs did all they could to bail out the Celtics but alas, only Ray Allen showed up to play for them.
Great game but the classless acts by this thug team is getting ridiculous. They got away with a lot of crap against the Lakers last year but all that ill-will is going to catch up to them one of these days.

I totally agree I used to have a small bit of respect for Rondo, but I see how dirty of a player he really is. I can't see how he won't get suspended for game 7.
