I rather like the way it looks, a bit more contemporary but I have to agree with whoever said this;

Why not just scrap all the colours of the flags of the countries its supposed to represent and make it pink, white, cream, dark cream, brown, dark brown, and black then?

This kind of thing used to cause civil wars of nasty proportions. I think the first person to carry the new flag should be gunned down in public. I can't believe they'd even consider changing the flag, meh, I think it's time to leave the country.

Heh. That reminds me of the battle that's been brewing in Georgia (USA) for the past couple of years.

First there was the old flag, the actual flag of the Confederacy with the Georgia State Seal. Not a bad flag, all in all.

Then a bunch of racists (who were Democrats, I might add) decided in '56 to include the Confederate battle flag. Offensive to everybody except the racists.

King Roy (former Governer Barnes) introduced a new flag, which introduced a whole new class of characters: flaggots (thanks to Neal Boortz for the brilliant name). The flag was bland, inoffensive, and just plain ugly. The flaggots were offensive and ugly.

And now King Sonny (current Governor Perdue) has changed the flag yet again. And the flaggots are still up in arms, while the rest of us get annoyed at all the time and money wasted on something so stupid.

On the bright side, that should provide you with much fodder for humor and sarcasm over the coming months....

i like our current design a lot. its nice and pretty too. its never has represented race anyway. you dont see blue and red people walking about anyway. Adding black and saying its PC is ridiculous as most ethnic races arent black anyway so the guy should add shades of brown too if its to represent other races.

I'm saying it's like us trying to throw some symbol of white onto an African/Eastern nations flag just because some of us may live there.
