Avira with the notify.exe blocked is the best.

Avira no question

Clicking on a bigman thread just made avira scream for me.

So yes, avira works well.

Using norton 2009, cant complain, very light, very easy to use and extremely friendly ui.

i know previous versions of norton was horrendous but i gave it a shot and its extremely light and defiantly worth giving a shot.

AVG. Don't like Avira, some people I know have it and doesn't seem to stop anything. They leave it on all the time still no good to me.

Avira is actually pretty terrible. If you ever block something from accessing the internet, theres no way to ever reverse that action. I trolled there forums for hours and posted a thread and no one knew how to unblock a program from accessing the internet.

also is there a way to schedule a scan? There might have been, but I got so frustrated and gave up.

yap, norton really made a huge turnaround in past 2 years. plus with some deals out there you can get norton 2009 almost free after rebate.

Using norton 360 revision 3.0 On three of my computers, works great on vista 64, plus on my win xp sp3, I have 4 gigs of ram but windows only sees 3gigs, it's a little slower to get to the desktop taskbar at right bottom screen, but still works good. Alot better then I use to remember norton. always having to reinstall to get it working again. It's really a good internet suite now for sure".:D
