IE8 Not opening links within websites and forums

Just like the title says, I stopped using IE8 because of this bullcrap. WTF windows?!?!?!?!?

Anyone have a work around or fix for this? I'm using Firefox again since IE isn't working right, and by george I'm liking it.

Did it ever work?

When I installed IE8 I discovered that it has to be run once with the print spooler service running in order to initialize everything properly. Then the print spooler can be disabled with no ill effect.

Symptoms were failure for new links to open tabs/windows, and the right-click area in the tab bar didn't work.

Went on IE8 last night after a couple days, and it seems to be working now. I don't know what the issue was but now it's ok.
