Well its that time of the year (My Birthday)(May 10) and my parents said that they could buy me a PS3 game. I know most of you are thinking DUH KILLZONE 2? But I have played the demo and I liked it, but the slow controls are HORRIBLE. I can't kill anyone with those slow controls and stuff. Like I liked the game but the control lowered it. Now COD 4, I liked it on the PC, and I'm guessing its a bit better on the PS3 because of clans, and prestige mode and stuff like that.

Some of my friends have both and some have one or the other. I like multiplayer (most of the reason Im choosing between these two) But its not the biggest factor. So I don't know which one to pick?

Does COD still have people that play it on PS3?

ALSO, THIS IS MY FIRST CONSOLE GAME THATS AN FPS

Why COD4
Great fun game
Awesome Multiplayer
Prestige

Why Not COD4
Not as many people play it (Old game)
Most people are 10-55 (or high levels)
No Cover System

Why KZ2
AMAZING multiplayer (64 people) :O
New Game (Lots of people)
just over all fun

Why Not KZ2
Controls are horrible (Lag in movement of camera)
No tournament (game Battles)
Controls are horrible

Also, should I be considering Resistance 2?
Also, I know some of you are saying COD6 but thats too far away, and summer is right around the corner.

COD4 is a monster, of course people still play it. Personally I think its leaps better than KZ2 if you take graphics out of the equation and still its graphics are nothing to look down on. And no its not better on the PS3, PC wins hands down. If you have access to it on the PC I would say go for KZ2 as its a PS3 exclusive.

Also Resistance 2 is a mediocre game. If you see it cheap get it for the multiplayer.

PC version all the way, Ive had COD4 for the pc from release date & love it for the pc, Having played it all this time on the pc i decided to get it for the ps3 because afew mates from work have it for the ps3 also.

Having played it for around 15 mins on the ps3 i turned it off and havent played it again becasue i cant stand how poor the controls are, how poor the gfx are and how slow the overall gameplay of cod4 on ps3 is compared to the pc version.

For somebody who has never played a FPS on a good pc the ps3 version would be great BUT to somebody who is used to playing FPS on a good pc then swapping to a ps3/controller its a huge let down that not just for cod 4, Thats any FPS, Dont get me wrong i love my ps3 for some games but it dont come close to my pc.

Take the graphics out (which Cod4 is also very good) and Cod4 wins hands down... I just can't get past the horrible KZ2 controls... But, I prefer Resistance 1 (R2 was pretty average IMO...)

COD4 all the way if you are looking for a great FPS multiplayer game.

I still play few times a week with this game and have NO PROBLEMS finding a full room no matter what time of the day or night it is.....So dont concern yourself about whether people still play this game because there are tons that still do

I stayed away from Killzone 2 simply because of the horrible controls, I may give it another shot once I find it used for a decent price.....

Killzone 2 is a game that has me in conundrums(lol)...I have been renting the game from gamefly for the last 3 months. yet I have probably played it maybe for 2 hours max. I dont feel like playing it yet dont want to return it without playing through!!!!

Picked up KZ2 with the ps3 a few weeks ago. personally I find the SP campaign pretty boring so far(few hours in). I find myself forcing myself to play it currently. Its just clunky and there's no variety of enemies.

So anyways, I picked up Uncharted to mix it up a bit for a second game. Loving that game but I just read it was really short. That's kind of a bummer being they still want $60 for it.

you already have Call of Duty on PC so NO.
you won't like Killzone 2 on PS3 because its already in your head so NO.

Go for option 3

Same here. I kind of forced myself to finish it and kicked myself for not putting it on easy to blow through it. Plus its very dark with almost no variety.

Uncharted is out on Platinum Hits... No way they should ask 60 bucks for it... Maybe you could import it, seeing as it's region free... It's 19.49 Euros, that's about $26 from play.com...
