What is the best way to find out if my RAM is running at rated its speed? Just built a new PC, not sure how to check it.

Find current ram timings: download + run CPUZ
Find out optimal ram timings: look on the ram website you ordered from, or look at the ram itself you plugged in (ram is better, more specific a lot of the time)

Check out your BIOS, or download CPU-Z.

You can drop your tRas to 16 instead of 18 - the SPD page on CPUZ tells you what the ram is capable of doing with regards to standards - a lot of the time, ram can run tighter timings than said on that page (hense check the ram itself).

You should be able to see them in the Bios, but CPU-Z will tell you as has done been said.
