I know this test was done over a year ago but still it gives you an idea of how big of a memory footprint some antivirus programs are using. I just don't see why so many people keep repeating that MSE is light on resources when so many others are lighter than it.

Just checked AVG here at work and it is running 12 processes and using 34.5MB memory.

Personally, I prefer and use Kaspersky. Also this deserves reason to mention why I still prefer and use: http://techreport.com/discussions.x/18144

i use a free program from my service provider (Shaw Cable) its called Shaw Secure by F-Secure. works great. its saved my bacon a couple times now, and best part its free to all Shaw Cable subscribers.

So if your Canadian and a Shaw customer check it out. its as good as anything ive used over the years, and ive tried them all ;)

I'm seriously thinking about uninstalling Symantec and installing MS Essentials....
