For $5 bucks who cares... bought.

BTW, I heard it was decent... nothing special but nothing horrible.

I bought it for 99 cents off of Amazon a couple weeks ago... it did have $3.99 shipping though. It's an OK game.

I bought it for 5 when there was a deal on gamersgate..

The kids play frisbee with the dvd now :bleh:

Its one of the worst strategy games ever made. I wouldnt play it if they payed me!

I already have a bunch of strategy games laying around that I don't have time for.

I'd probably buy this if there was a remote chance that I'd have time to play it in the next 5 years...

Great time for me to be moving and have everything in cash. I could deposit, but it wouldn't count until Monday. Fail.

Universe at War is ok, and well worth $5 for sure. It got three extremely different factions, with the Hierarchy and their huge walkers which are fun. The Novus and their transportation using the Net are also interesting. The soundtrack is great, made by Frank Klepacki.

It is a bit lacking in the campaign, which could have been done better.

The game is in the C&C "tradition", indeed many people on Petroglyph Games that developed it did work on Westwood and previous C&C games.

This thread has some info on the factions, and more importantly official PDF files for each faction showing build order and research tree.

If this game would have got a bit more polish and a better singleplayer campaign, and not the bad rep from being one of the early games using GFWL client, it could have been great.

I've had so many technical problems with this game. I'm disappointed with it even after only spending $5.
