Hello, I am having a problem with grainy text on my Dell S2409W monitor. I have a PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 1800 graphics card which only has DVI and DisplayPort inputs. I have another computer with a different graphics card that has a VGA input. When the monitor was hooked up to the VGA input, the text was crystal clear. When hooked up to DVI on the Quadro the text is very grainy and has a definite blue/gold tint. If anyone knows how to solve this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried a DVI-VGA adapter on your graphics card?

Also, have you tried a different monitor on that system?

Could also be a bad cable.

Was the computer/monitor on when you plugged in your DVI-cable(biggest reason for bad dvi ports)?

Sounds like a bad port to me(have a bad one on my projector as well).

Hey thanks for the replies. Yeah, I have tried a DVI to VGA as well as DisplayPort to DVI adapters, but no luck. I just hooked up an LG monitor and I am getting the same issue. I guess it's either my graphics card or a bad cable.
Here's a picture of the problem:

Have you tried different drivers as well?

Also might want to double check the DVI connection and make sure it's in good contact. A while back I had problems with my DVI cable and discovered it wasn't pushed in completely.
