My Friend has a GF3 (original), and he does a lot of 3dsmax work for school. He knows there's a way to make it run faster using some hack, I thought there was a software Quadro hack, but I can't seem to find it. Anyone?

ah maybe so, i know it supports Geforce 4's

could he consider buying a gf4 becuse those are saposta go really good with soft quadro!

softquadro might be hard to find since it was made obselete by the release of Rivatuner v12 and up which is bundled with NVstrap. NVstrap is a bios app that changes the geforce PCI ID into a Quadro ID. This in turn tells the computer the VGA card is a Quadro, and everything works like a Quadro. :D more info at www.3dguru.com
