I used to have one with 2MB of ram.

A 40MB hard drive.

A 256K CGA capable graphics card.

Only had a monochrome monitor though.

Had DOS 4.0 loaded on it.

But that was kind of flaky at times...

So I had a 5 1/4" floppy diskette loaded with MS-Dos 5.0 handy.

That way I could at least consistently boot the pc.

And try to play some really crappy games that I had located.

I remember one time I had Falcon 3.0

It is loaded on a cd. I still have that disc sitting beside the pc here in the shelf. :D

So anyway, I needed to get the game from the cd to that 286, since the minimum requirements for the game was a 286.

I'm in the middle of a story...

So as I was saying, the pc that had a CD-Rom drive only had a 3 1/2" floppy disk drive.

And my pc I wanted to put the game on only had a 5 1/4" floppy drive.

So I took and zipped up the game files, and spread it out across several 3 1/2" disks.

Then I took another pc that had a 3 1/2" and 5 1/4" drive, but no cd rom, and I copied the data from the 3 1/2" to the 5 1/4".

Then I copied it from the 5 1/4" to the 40MB hard drive.

Once all of the parts were copied over, I unzipped all of the game data.

Then I was able to finally install the game.

It probably took me a few hours of running back and forth between computers to do all of that.

But it was pretty sweet when I was able to play Falcon 3.0 on my 286. (nana2)
