FTW indeed. I'd love a couple of these! Great shader OC.

Is that a typo or does the standard card really have higher clocked memory?

Would love to see how this compares with the GTX 295.

Yeah standard cards really do have higher clocked memory. Standard 1GB GTX 285s have the 2484MHz memory clock, and orignal 1GB FTW had a clock of 2772MHz. Since then, EVGA has rereleased their 1GB line, all except for the HydroCopper version, and have dropped the 1GB FTW clocks to 2646MHz, but all of the 1GB cards still maintain factory clocks above even the 2GB FTW.

EVGA's standard clock for the 2GB variants is 2322MHz, so it's considerably lower than the regular 1GB 285. I assume the reason for this is the same as it is for desktop memory, with higher density memory chips being unable to clock as well with the same latencies. It could also be a measure to cut cost, or a combination of both.

On the EVGA site, there is a typo of a different nature however. While the 2448MHz memory clock listed for the 2GB FTW is correct, EVGA's site also lists it as having a memory bandwidth of 143.3GB/s which is incorrect.

The real bandwidth should be calculated as 512bit/8 = 64 * 2448MHz = 156.672GB/s
Their figure suggests a clock of 2239MHz (143,300MBs/64 = 2239MHz) which would be reminiscent of a stock GTX 280, and far lower then their other 2GB models.

wonder how well this runs crysis!

I'm actually considering getting a pair of these, maybe 3 depending. Never felt like pulling the trigger on quad SLI for my 30" because of the memory constraints. With 2GB these should allow for some pretty high AA @ 2560x1600 and reduce stuttering on Qarl's texture pack and the Fallout 3 high res mods, not to mention better draw distance in GTA4.

I'll be sure to post results if I do, sadly I won't have 1GB cards for a direct comparison.

omg must be ncie to be able to just go out and buy like 3 of these or w/e damn your loaded
