View Full Version : Cavs v/s Orlando
GREAT game. A lot of give and take and finally the Cavs face a real opponent.
Well played all around, the Turk came through in the 4'th and what a game by Lewis :)
Awesome game by Lebron and I really hope he isn't going to have lasting effects. He was cramping like I haven't seen someone cramp for a long time. Wow. I really hope he is going to be ok.
I have a feeling both the semi's are going to be big battles. The refs are definitely letting them play.

I am stunned that the Cav's lost! I'm know Orlando is a good team, but damn...Nice job Orlando...Now we know the Cav's will have to work for this (as will the Lakers)...
No one gives Orlando respect. They beat Orlando by FORTY points in a game during the regular season. They have a great record against the Cavs over the past several seasons and they do match up relatively well. Both Turk and Lewis can play Lebron due to their length.
Just like in the Lakers series, there is not much between the two teams and I am hoping for more epic battles :D
-edit-
I am watching the highlights and my goodness, the refs are SO inconsistent. Lebron absolutely hammers Howard and no foul, it's listed as a block. Lebron falls down himself and a foul is called? I am actually surprised that the Magic won with some of the calls that went against them.
Good game by him, no doubt but the refs protect him like no other player in the league.

Dude... he dropped 49. They clearly CAN'T guard him. They're making him look like freaking Michael Jordan out there.

Not sure if you'd watched any of the pre-game discussions. The Magic strategy was to allow Lebron to go off and prevent the others (i.e. Mo Williams) from doing the same. Clearly it worked.
Also, Van Gundy said after the game that they can't guard him. I think he's trying to goad Lebron to shoot more :)
Lebron's conditioning for the rest of this series will be one to watch. Anytime your superstar limps off the court with cramps, it's not a good sign. 10 days off and you are cramping? He's going to have to pace himself.
Also, I am watching the repeat on TNT right now. The calls going against the Magic in the first half are absolutely a joke. And I find it very amusing after all the flexing and posturing these guys are doing, that they are going to end up losing the game. Not sure if anyone else saw Joe Smith get both hands on Howard and physically push him out of the painted area to prevent him get a rebound and then hold him. No call :rofl
I still think that Cleveland will win the series, but why disrespect your opponents after you got bailout calls from the refs?
I am watching an ESPN special about Kobe and Lebron and I love what Lebron said during his acceptance speech about his mother. That was really touching :)

Lebron is a class act, just like Kobe is...That was a really good special...I wonder if Kobe will be pissed at tonights game and go off due to The Logo (Jerry West) saying Lebron has surpassed Kobe as a player....

How could you ask for a better ending? Lebron jacking a buzzer beater three? That's vintage Michael Jordan.

Yeah, Orlando was down what, 23 points? They came roaring back but Hedo unfortunately left 1 sec for James to make a miracle shot

gr8 tnx ..nice post brohttp://www.esharez.info/imgs/signature_deepthakur.jpg:)
Great game :)
Both the series are now proper series :D
No sweeps this round.
Great game again tonight. Good thing the officials can check a foul for where the feet were but won't rescind the clean block that Howard had. Anyone else, Howard would have been fine but since it's Lebron, oh boy, it HAD to be a foul.
If you are able to review the play, get the call right. I have a feeling the Magic will win even with that terrible call at the end of the game.
Wow, a double-digit win
Anyways, great game by both teams. The Magic, considering they are playing without a key all-star player, are playing way better than I expected.
Jameer Nelson :( his play is certainly missed.

Yeah that foul call on Howard was ridiculous. Howard literally only touched the ball there.

Lebron needs some help out there. Even he can't do it alone.

I stand corrected. The East is really scraping the bottom of the barrel this year.

Yep.
The two TEAMS in the east and the west are doing well.
Looks like Denver will pull off a win tonight. The entire team is carrying their star. The opposite is true for the Lakers.
Tomorrow should be interesting for the Cavs. I expect them to come out, guns blazing.

The Lakers and Cavs are definitely being exposed as 1-man teams. All it takes is one other guy to step up for a few games and either could win it all though. BTW, whatever happened to Andrew Bynum? He's the invisible man!

He is doing more complaining and less playing at the moment it seems :D
But, he is coming off a serious knee injury so who knows if he is even 100%?
The Lakers have more weapons than the Cavs but, not if they get thrashed around like how Boston pushed them around last season and how things are going tonight v/s Denver. If they don't get the calls for the fouls, they aren't going to score. Other than Kobe and occasionally Odom, I don't think they can man up.
On the flip side, Denver can survive a 7 point game from Carmelo (2 for 14 so far?) and still be up double digits on the Lakers. Same for the Cavs, if Lebron doesn't score 30 or 40, even if Howard scores 10 points, the Magic can beat the Cavs.
Or at least, that's what it looks like :D

Denver is a strong team all around and I think they will win it all this year, as long as Carmelo is playing.
