anyway to stop quicktime?

i really hate how quicktime installs with itunes and then begins to take over everything, very annoying when want to browse a video and i find that quicktime has replaced everything and begin being the only plugin sitting to open my videos/sound. i even went through some of em one by one and said firefox to ask me what to do, but after a restart the dam thing is back in there...:headexplode:..

Using winrar or 7zip you can open the installer and just take out the stuff you need and run them. They should be standard .msi files. For now, just uninstall quicktime.

Sometimes iTunes doesn't work right if it detects QT is not there :(

It's like an annoying virus, honestly.

Thats only because you accepted by accident to use quicktime by default in my ss below you can find the seetings that need to be changed, sorry by my windows is in french. What you're looking for are the MIME settings, hope this helps.
