There are plenty of 9700np available for under $300Can on pricewatch and you could just flash the bios and most likely overclock to Pro speeds.

Why are all you guys saying gfFX5600Ultra, isn't that out of his price range? He just lists the gfFX5600...I'm assuming non-Ultra because of the other cards listed there. Otherwise the r9700 and maybe even r9700Pro should be around the same price as the gfFX5600Ultra.
Anyway, in order of preference:
r9500Pro
r9600Pro
gfFX5600(if you use FSAA/AF)
gf4Ti4200

Uhm...I was assuming he was talking about the ultra just 'cause the non-ultra 5600 shouldn't even be ranked with the rest of those cards... ;)

This place has both the Powercolor & the "built by ATI" 9700np for under $210 US including shipping, this is $280Can. Stop reading and buy it! Nothing else here is even close!

yup, i was referring to the 5600 Ultra, which is just under $300, and i also found a place that sells an oem version of the Sapphire Atlantis r9700 for $330.
the Sapphire Atlantis r9800 Pro sells for an unbelieavble $530, which is $100 more than i paid for my new case, cpu, ram, mobo.
plus, there is the 15% sales tax that has to be paid on purchases here in Ontario that adds to the cost.
thanx for all the suggestions, tho :D
The Radeon 9700 is by far the better card then the rest hands down, with twice the bandwith of the Radeon 9500Pro and far more horse power then the 9600Pro & FX5600Ultra.
I'd get 9600p or a 5600U. I know 9500p is better and stuff but old technology..;) ;)
I've been looking about and at the moment the FX5800 regular is only slightly more expensive then a FX5600Ultra

i'd buy the 9600 pro because it's the best card there that wouldn't requrie me buying a new psu
