Because i'm very curious, before i upgrade my huffing, pudgy, beer soaked, goatee sportin, D&D playing system that sucks.

Is it really all that and a bag of Gardetto's mix?

Those aren't the newest NV35 drivers ;) I was wondering if they shipped with 44.61

I get a warm and funny feeling that the 5900 will ship with either the 44.61 drivers or the new DET50's which should be ready soon.

They won't ship with the D50's, more likly 44.61 drivers

What drivers came with it on the install CD, if you could tell us please. :)

msi's cd has all the drivers from 29.xx to 44.03

i checked all and they're the same nvidia reference drivers. i installed 44.03 from nvidia's website. everything is good as im upgrading from a geforce3 ti200.

athlonxp1700~2200mhz~11x200@1.600v
asus a7n8x deluxe 2.0
1g ddr400
geforcefx 5900 (defaults)
winxp sp1

quake3 1280x1024x32 = 243fps
quake3 1600x1200x32 = 211fps

the card runs very hot! but not noisy

Wow, that's kind of cool to send all the drivers like that...a definate plus for MSI in me book on that one.

Thanks for the quick reply, please let us know what you like/love/hate about the card and your experiences gaming on it.

I've been using one for a little bit more than a week now.
I have three concerns:

AA quality is crummy (this I knew though so it didn't come as a surprise)

two of the games I play right now stutter and crash all the time (Ghost Master and GunMetal, two "The Way It's Meant To Be Played" games btw)

the gamma or brightness keeps flickering (very strange only happens on this board, very anoying when sitting in front of the monitor longer periods of time)

but if I could choose freely I'd go with a 9800 Pro instead honestly

I agree with AnteP about it.

If I had a choice and the money to buy one of the two I would buy the 9800 Pro.

I agree the AA quality is crummy, I've actually had more problems in games than my 9700 Pro.

Listen to the few who have used one for those of you who won't believe us :D.

I would only get it over a 9800 Pro if your so die-hard fan and so against ati.

I've got a 256MB Radeon 9800 Pro on the way, which cost me an arm and a leg :) But I'm really pumped up about all the good things I've been hearing about its AA quality (when compared to the NV35).

That's odd as I don't even think the 29.xx 30.xx and if I'm not mistaken some 40.xx don't even have support for the 5900 Ultra in the .inf files. :)

That was a preview, I don't think the boards tested were final silicon, and they certainly didn't have to be shipping drivers. That's why it was called a preview, and not a review.

Has anyone tested the 5900 Value? I have'nt heard squat about this card, yet its the only one id ever be able to afford.... $300 is really really really really stretching it as it is.
