Forgive me if this has been asked but I've been hearing that the single PCB GTX 295 was supposed to be out by the end of May, but I haven't heard anything about it lately. Has it been delayed?

The single PCB is supposed to be no different spec-wise. But I'm wondering if there will be a difference in price?

Yeah it has been delayed, but single PCB should be out soon, Computex starts this Tuesday so I would expect concrete information on availability there.

As far as the 295 mars, it's not two 295s, just two 2GB 285s, being better than what is essentially two 275s in a regular 295.

The price should be the same, maybe a little lower, but remember Nvidia's motive for creating this card in the first place is to actually make a profit on the 295. Nvidia is lowering cost on their end by making it single pcb, I doubt they will pass that on to the consumer because it would make the entire project pointless.

Anyone else thing the heatsink looks a little poorly designed? I guess it will be decent but do you think it's a worse cooling solution than the dual-PCB 295?

I think it fine, some of the hot air will be dumped into the case however, but the larger fan will allow more airflow and less noise :)

Keep dreaming. The extra VRAM is nice, but it's not the only factor. Current cards just aren't strong enough to max out either Crysis or Clear Sky. Not even close, really.

2 295's can max out Crysis with 4xAA 1920x1200 :) Now if you mean 2560x1600, that is a different story!

You sure about that? ;) I'd have to see 1920x to believe it. My 275s crawl on Warhead with all settings maxed and 2xAA at 1920x. Slows to 20fps in some places.

I know this is 2560x, but they weren't running any AA:

37fps average w/ drops to 18. That's about what I saw at 1920x when I had my two 4870X2s.
