Anyone try out this ghost master demo yet? it was released on sat 14th june. i tried it and thought is was interesting. the intro is worth the download itself. the demo gives you the full intro to the game and then one level where you have to scare the heck out of about 9 college dorm girls. if you scare them out of the house you complete the demo( as they are scared out their names are X'd off the list). the first time demo start's it can either have the tutorial on or off...leave it on 1st time to learn game, but after you've completed it and want to try it on your own you can disable it in options after mission starts. it is sorta like the sims style of playing but with scare tactic's as the objective. the monsters can be placed or replaced(use "bind" to place them/use "bench" to unplace them) anywhere within the game and dont forget there are 3 floors witihn the house/map.
this is one of those games you gotta try at least once.
you sound like a promotion :)
anyway you are right, it's nice and original enough to try

www.3dgamers.com has it
cricket, after reading your post I decided to download the demo and give it a go. I wasn't expecting it to be particularly good, but I actually quite enjoyed it.
As well as The Sims, it also reminded me of Dungeon Keeper 2, especially the way you can choose to see through your ghosts' eyes, and the humans' point-of-view as they wander about the house.
Also, I think there was a 16-bit console game where you had to scare people with ghosts which was similar to this game, but I can't remember what it was called.
I probably wouldn't buy the game myself, not at full price anyway (and I also think it could get repetitive after a while), but it's a fun demo so people should give it a try.

I bought it yesterday and it's OK, just really frustrating.
I'ts easy scaring people away but near to impossible to complete objectives, such as getting people to open a certain barred door (level 3). I just cant get past this.
The gameplay is really linear, mediocre AI, pretty sticky interface, not much to do and it would be WAY cooler if you could actually control the ghosts, it's just way too simple and you have minimal control over any ghosts.
An average game, I bought it purely because I thought the concept was interesting.
