Does this fix the DX10 Gears of War issue where everything becomes garbled?

Still issues with flickering textures/shadows in Mirror's Edge. Also, PhysX doesn't work right when installed after the display driver. It starts running smoothly, but as soon as any PhysX enabled effects come into play, the game slows to a crawl.

Back to 182.05 for me.

Just uninstall PhysX from the control panel and then reinstall them. That solves 100% of the PhysX issues for me. No reboot needed, btw. :) I already did some extensive trouble shooting on this in the Mirror's Edge topic. Even filled out a bug report to NVIDIA, but it went in one ear and out the other. And this was back when the 180 drivers were new.

And I did get the flickering in SLi as well. Changing a setting in NHANCER fixed it for me. Under the SLi mode, uncheck (03) Half Life 2 at the top.

I'm going back to the 182.67's because there's no CUDA acceleration in the 190's. :( All my CUDA programs crash.

Nvidia's Scaling with Fixed Aspect Ration does not stick in Windows 7. You can click on it but once you hit apply it goes back to displays built in scaling.

Nvidia states it in their release docs that its not supported but I wish they would fix it already.

Hmm doesn't this depend on which resolution you're using; if you use your monitor's native res it shouldn't stick, but if you have something lower than that it should work?
EDIT: Just tried it and I was right. :) So fixed aspect scaling works just fine.

TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress (CUDA Accelerated), works perfectly fine over here.

Sounds like its time for a wipe and reinstall :)

I'll give these a whirl on XP 32bit. I'll report back later on with my opinion.

These are by far the best set of drivers for my GTX295. I'm experiencing better framerates in all of my games. GRAW2 is smoother when the server is full (32 players) and my god, what a performance boost i got in Overlord2.

With 186.08, the demo was smooth at 1600x1200 + Max Details + Edge Smoothing. When i tried to run it at 1920x1440 however, the minimum framerate dropped to 48. Now with 190.15, the minimum framerate at 2048x1536 is 65. Simply put, amazing drivers for the GTX295 users

Hmm mixed results here.

Necrovision run faster then ever, but some other games, Crysis (and Warhead) act strange, sometimes much slower (Warhead ingame, in the benchmark it was faster?) and Crysis in the benchmark flyby.

Also I couldn't get AA in UT3 (2x2 ss with nHancer)

edit, after a reboot everything is behaving normal for most of the time. This appears to be the fastest set yet.

Impressive set of drivers from what I've seen of them so far.

fixed aspect ratio flat panel scaling does not work if you use hdmi or hdmi to dvi adapter. this is a pain when it works with ati catalyst. it's grayed it and on 'built in display scaler'

Anyone with a TV or monitor notice the colors to be more vibrant with an HDMI connection? It's not a placebo thing. These drivers make my 37" Samsung seem more colorful than previous drivers.

Could be the new monitor you just received :D

Nah, wasn't that. I had tried out the latest 186 driver with this monitor attached and the display was very noticably different.

These give me black screen on primary display - active signal just blankness - but secondary display appears normal. Kinda difficult to diagnose/fix without too much faffing as everything appears on the primary display (menus, nv control panel etc). Going with the latest 186.18 WHQL for now as I cba to switch monitors or change inputs etc.

You can actually get 1:1 pixel mapping working with these by using the "Adjust desktop size and position" option. I set it to 1680x1050 and it overrides the default 1680x1050 resolution for a perfect 1:1 non-scaling mapping. I just wish there wasn't an artificial limit on how low it can be set. I'd like to be able to set 1280x1024 to 1:1.

I was running COD4 today at 1920x1200, 16xQ AA (MSAA) and 16x AF and it was running nearly as fast as it did when I was running just 4x AA. Great driver set!!!:D

I had this problem as well...just unplug the secondary and the first will work, then plug in the second and set it as secondary and you should be good until next driver.

Thanks :)

Tried and that did not work. Primary display stays black even with no secondary attatched - detatched before uninstalling previous driver, uninstall driver, reboot, driver clean, install these, display stays black. It is attatched via HDMI btw.. perhaps that has something to do with it

these are the first and only drivers I have tried with my gtx295. I have not experienced a single crash or artifact or anything not working with these drivers.

does anyone know if these retain your gamma settings after exiting a full screen accelerated app? and also upon reboot.

Not sure if its related to these drivers or not, but Left 4 Dead just crashed on me after playing it for a couple hours.

It just froze and when I ended the task there was an "Nvlddmkm" error near the system tray.

My system is normally rock solid, and it isn't that hot in here, so I doubt it was heat (GPU got to 81C and its overclocked, but that's not that hot).

If I get this again I'm switching drivers. For now though, its just a fluke.

I had this same problem. Go into Nvidia control panel then under "Adjust desktop size and position" choose "Use Nvidia scaling with fixed aspect ratio" Now don't click ok, just close out of that window and it will pop up and ask you to save it or apply it or whatever then answer yes to do it. Worked for me that way. If I click OK instead it never saves it.
Now when i select a non widescreen resolution for my widsscreen monitor it places black bars on the sides so it is in it's proper scale and not looking like crap.
