Wow. With all that happened yesterday, I totally missed this. Yea, I think that Cleveland made the best move since they got LeBron.

Now, all we have to do is keep him healthy...

They basically got shaq for nothing, so I see it as a decent deal. I don't think Shaq will remain healthy until the playoffs, but no less healthy than Ben Wallace.

They should have gotten Shaq two years ago.

Shaq had a great year last year, but this won't be enough to get Cleveland over the top. Orlando and Boston are still better.

Dunno about that.

They have a post presence who will make it harder for the interior peeps like Howard and Garnett to operate. If he can give them 15 and 10 and shoot at 55-60% as he normally does and if he still continues to draw double-teams (which he does), they will be in good shape.

I think people forget that the reason the Heat won the championship a couple of years ago was not solely Wade. It was because Shaq was constantly being double-teamed and drawing fouls on the bigs of Dallas, getting them into the penalty and thereby allowing Wade to take it to the hole and get on the charity-stripe.

He is still a game-changer, even if his free-throw shooting continues to be a liability. But, for what it's worth, I have not seen him lose games like Howard because of his free-throws.

I still think that this is a win-win for the Cavs. Teams are going to be face with deciding who to double team.

Normally I would agree with you, but I think this might just be a perfect fit for Cleveland (FOR THIS YEAR). With the Lakers chomping at the bit for back to back, and both LeBron AND Shaq wanting "revenge" on Kobe (revenge may be the wrong word, but still), this could make for a fantastic 2009/2010 season! Beyond that, the other teams making moves seemed to improve them alot as well, so it should be fun!
