Is ATI going to support 3D glasses?? I have the ed glasses and they are ****ing great.

I heard there is some driver from ED for ATI cards and it works only in OGL. Some ppl say it looks like crap compared to nvidias crads.

Me wants R9500P

When was the last time you used 3D glasses? 3-4 years ago?headache = when you use them at low refresh rates.

Minimum for headache free gameplay is 120Hz

Well, then maybe you used too much separation, stereo n00bs should start with 25-35%, and convergence

It's not just start the game and play. Some things need adjusting.

nVIDIA does have good support for them, better than ati-if you want to use the glasses then it's better to use them with a nvidia card.

what is your point then?

I use stereo goggles every day modeling molecules into electron density maps, no headaches reported from the people in the field. 120 Hz is minimum, the higher the better, and Nuvision goggles are the most confortable.

the support for the glasses was because of Asus. Ati will never have support. they want to make the IQ great at 50cm from the monitor. i bet less ppl use glasses than you beos. Way less. There is no market for glasses.

At the very least, there is a scientific market for stereogoggles. It's obvious that the game market dominates the gfx dev, but yet, not everyone plays games....

we've tried 'google-less' 3D monitors and those are just not up to par with goggles yet :(

I'm having trouble understanding why 3D Goggles are necessary for anything..

if you see a 3D representation of something onscreen, and can manipulate and rotate it, why do you need 3D glasses?

two words: depth perception.

that's what 3D goggles are useful for :)

Try them and you'll see the difference.

I agree that 3d stereo glasses are not for everyone but I love them, once you get used to them is hard to go back to regular pseudo3d gaming.

I've seen 3dstereo LCD panels and they look awesome but I'd have to sell a kidney to get a good one.
