Holy ****! That was a mess...
Still, that can't possibly be a normal thing. Especially now, 11 years later.
Check this out... :rofl

Look at how easily they turn over. :rofl
The stupid things look like they're meant to be flip over like that...
I'd rather watch races in those days than what the sport has become today. Seriously, those were the golden days. :(

Yeah, the good ol days. I quit watching NASCAR after it got FOXified.
Wow that was just stupid of them to even start the race. The only car that would even see anything was the first car on the track.
Yep. But the thing is, they still raced.

Isn't this the case with many other US based racing series?
I've asked myself the same question before.
The only answer I can think of is that they are all pussies.

A stupid assumption from a stupid person. You wouldn't have the balls to get behind the wheel of one of those cars.

Yes I would. I have driven the Nordschleife on a motorbike. You have no idea how much I know of motor racing.
So I take it you have driven one then?
BTW my origional comment was actually in jest. I can see why oval racing doesn't work in the wet. Even with wet weather tyres the cars wouldn't work in the wet around an oval.
And I'm not a European that thinks theres no skill to driving an oval either. There is. I dont get oval racing as a TV spectacle but I would like to go and see a Nascar race in the flesh. It looks fun!

Thats not unusual. There have been two races this year where visibility has been that bad.
A monsoon hit in Malaysia this year for instance.

Ironically they did cancel the race due to a combination of the standing water and the fact that it was getting dark!
