I uninstalled the 44.03 detonators in windows xp, and rebooted. Everything seemed to work fine, until I tried to change a resolution. The video basically froze, and I have to hit reset on my case to reboot. I reboot and it freezes on the welcome screen. So i boot with boot option "enable vga mode" and it works fine again, until i change resolutions. I tried installing an older driver ( 30.82 ) with no luck on this problem. Now I reinstall XP and install the 30.82 and everything is working fine...

Anyone else have these problems after uninstalling 44.03 dets ??

yes, on my K7RA-133R it did that... I thought it was cuz of my OC'ing, but it happened twice...

maybe not tho if it's happenen to others....

Actually I take that back. On a reinstall and having all the windows updates, it does the same thing, and the 30.82 were the only nvidia drivers I installed. I've run these drivers in the past with no problems at all on the same motherboard, KR7A-RAID. Basically the same as yours but with an older RAID controller. I wonder if my since upgraded bios is to blame. I am not overclocking anything.

Well, I took my case apart and cleared my CMOS and everything is working fine now. Abit's new windows bios flash utility is supposed to clear the cmos for you, but apparently it didn't. I still don't know why this clearing of the CMOS affects certain driver versions though.. Very weird..
