what classes you taking?
html
software dev
communications
I took some VB courses and some C++ along with some others. Haven't taken any HTML courses yet, but I plan on taking some Java next semester. So would your major be CIS since you're taking software dev and html?
Dude, this course only allows me to get a certificate and then pick if I want to get a diploma in software dev or HTML stuff next year.
2 years all together, I am going to take software dev diploma.
No idea what a CIS is.

ohh... :D
CIS = Computer Information Systems (like programming and stuff) which happens to be my major here. If everything goes according to plan, I should be done in one year and come out with a BA at the moment. Later try and go for MA.
I'm aiming for a Ph.D in computer science. :p
I'll be happy with MA. If I have time later on in life, I'll go for the PhD...;)
It's kinda time consuming.
oh, and good luck!!! :p
PhD is for doooshBags who are contend with spending the rest of their miserable lives pinkering on one stupid topic which they think is going to become big and turn them into the next Dijkstra.
Right now i am finishing of my masters in Comp Eng, along with my MBA in MIS and am minoring in communications. I think that should set me up for life.
It all depends on what you want to be doing in the future. If you want to have an easy and a comfortable life, the only job oppurtunity there is if you become a bum. No job is all fun and games...
Not necessarily true. I have some friends with PhDs and that is not what they do. Some of those people teach for example, which is something I haven't ruled out yet. But I agree with the statement that it depends what you wanna do in life.
And one more correction: my major is MIS as not many unis offer CIS in NYC. :p
But MBA would do me nicely!:D I also study languages and minor in business. ;)
