Had a question.

Why would i need to raise the timings on the ram?

The Ram i use is Corsair 1600 C8 but it shows in the guide to use cas 9 which slows down the rm right?

I thought that rule applies to those who populate all 6 banks.

Anyways great guide works for me and get 4ghz right off the bat but i did the timing slike in the guide but stilll curious on why those get changed.

Have you looked at the date of that guide ?

Anyway, i sure hope you aren't using those voltages . (1.51 Vcore ? ) :headexplode:

I personally would not go over 1.3 Vcore . There is already degrading with the core2duo's at that Vcore, and it does not get better with the i7

I hate to admit it but evga makes better I7 baords than ASUS.

I gave up on ASUS cuz of their lacky attitudes and not having the very latest updates for board sofware and drivers.

ASUS has went down the tunes .

I had the classified for 2 days only cuz it was way overpriced and i didn't care for its layout and had a little issues with heat but the x58 is awesomer than asus
