Holy ****. I thought Crysis Warhead runs good on Vista. The way it runs on Windows 7, i have to say goodbye Windows Vista.

I want to apologize for bashing Windows 7 cause i wasn't expecting to be this good for gaming :D

I tripple boot Vista 32, Vista 64, Win7 64.

Vista 64 and Win7 64 bench the same, slightly slower than Vista 32.

Same, I see no difference in performance between the different OSs. I did see a difference in compatibility though. Older games seem to play nicer on Windows 7, think they worked on Compatibility mode abit more in Windows 7.

think fps performance will be the same...i think most people might notice a difference if they are on 2gb with loading times/hdd activity with their games..

IF I can get my hands on an MSDN copy of Win 7 x64 I'm gonna try it out on my media/gaming rig. Definitely.

I've heard it runs so fast in DOS that you have to wear a seat belt to play.

the minimum FPS is higher on Windows 7, and load times are shorter. Other than that, it's exactly the same.

I found Crysis to be the same on Vista and 7. Was faster on XP but no DX10 ::(: Not really a big loss though. :;):

Don't use win7 if you like punkbuster games. It thinks win7 is a leet HaXX..

I'm dual booting it now...and it seems pretty good except the BSOD I always get on cold startups....must be a HDD delay setting er something.

only game still having problems is COD4. be sure to use pbsetup and update the PB files.

Yeah, I had a problem with CoD4 and used that PBsetup program that scans for games and updates. Works ok now.

I have recurring problems with punkbuster in COD4-5, even when the pb is up to date and tested.

Lately I used this fix: http://msmvps.com/blogs/brianmadsen/archive/2009/01/14/windows-7-punkbuster-fix.aspx, and haven't had a problem since, although this guy said the fix didn't solve everything.

My King Kong: Gamer's Edition won't run because it's version of StarForce is too old and will not be made compatible with Windows 7 :( lol

Yeah not so happy with Gaming in Windows 7 64 bit. It seems as though SLI is going to have to go through the same teething problems as before. The new OS and drivers introduce studdering which was finally fixed in the last 8 months of drivers for Vista and XP.

Stinks because I'm waiting to go back to a single card GT300 hits the streets. Until then my precious IL2 1946 is a studder fest.
