I am reminded of a time when my kids were small. The wife would make this fantastic peanut brittle. You see, a friend of ours was a peanut farmer and would bring us fresh peanuts at harvest time.
So the peanut brittle was always top notch.
The kids loved it.

One day the farmer sold the farm and retired, so she switch to store bought peanuts. The kids started to complain. The complaints got worse with each batch.

I sat the kids down one day and told them, "You know, you're mother could be spending time doing other things than making peanut brittle for you guys. You complain about the peanuts without so much as a concern with the effort she goes through for you."

Yes, they were a little spoiled, but they got the message and all was right with the world after that.

This topic just struck a chord.

That's not strictly true... In fact, wait - that's not true at all.

nVidia drivers get leaked every few weeks, but official WHQL releases are few and far between. ATi on the other hand have promised to release official WHQL drivers every four weeks.

By the way, why are you trying to turn this into an IHV bashing thread? This is the Feedback forum.

Show me the last time nVidia drivers have been "leaked every few weeks"!

nVidia has been getting stingier and stingier about their beta drivers and they've been becoming a WHOLE lot rarer to find ever since the beginning of this year! :(

Changing nvnews.net to an ATi site would be the most logical next step.
The reason i come here is mainly to get valuable tips/news on the graphic card i own, not to read how stupid i'am for using my card in the Nvidia forum.
The sticky "No Ati Discussions In Here" should be removed since everything there is about ATI and their fans, they have no other purpose then bashing Nvidia/Nvidia owners in any way they can.
Because most of the nvidias news these days is negative there is no reason why you're allowing the ATI-fanboys bashing Nvidia in every single thread, even the "Detonator 44.65 Feedback thread" is flooded by ATi boys.

I'm out of here, you can delete my account

Another happy user:rolleyes:

Please before some of you pack up and leave use some logic. NVIDIA are being bashed because there is so much against them right now. We are here for NVIDIA news!! Be it good or bad it will be discused here. If people have objections to that then quite frankly it says more about that person than the board. If you want advice and support on your card you still get 1st rate support from the users here. But with NVIDIA's latest offerings you cannot really complain about people telling the truth can you?

To me that is unacceptable for a top of a line Ati product! I use four nVidia cards and not a single glitch anywhere. Sad if ask me but at least now I know first hand what Ati is about. (not much) You guys should call the new site ‘rendering-properly-but-OpenGL-and-Linux-support-sux-as-always.com’ That be about right. Enjoy...

Well put, I hope to god you guys don't turn into a Rage3D.com. The forums are ridiculously pro "ATi Company". At least here Beta Drivers are welcomed! It's ironic too the Radeon 8500 owners used to bitch about not being to play with beta drivers and now that a leak occured they all get their panties in a bunch. Sad. I have never ever seen nVidia get cranky over a release unless it was stolen from the company which it happened once.

Yada-yada-ya...

Solomon, the reason some of us there try and respect ATi when they ask us a favor is because they do us the curteousy of keeping us informed/helping out on the boards/and improving their company so bloody much in the past year.

Rage3D has NOT sold out to ATi anymore than nVnews has sold out to nVidia, they're just showing a bit of professional curteousy to one of ATi's requests. No one is "making" them do anything.

CatalystMaker has and has EARNED a lot of respect in the ATi community, if'n he asks some people to take down an early beta since it ain't indicative of the official release that is coming out Monday than I ain't got no problem with that.

I'm a bloody beta-fan-from-hell, but I'm respecting ATi's wishes on this one. They've been good to the community, (and me in particular!), and I ain't got no problem cutting them some slack on this one.

CatalystMaker is a two faced person, the worse I have ever seen. He condems the leak, but he goes ahead and "tells" someone to use the leaked beta driver because it could fix that persons problem? You can support ATi all you want. They make great hardware. I have no problems with ATi in their hardware department or software department, but when this guy flat out says we released stolen drivers and tries in his all his might to shut the driver down by threatening us with lawyers and then pulls a 180 and tells the guy to download stolen drivers from me or W1zzard or nVchips-FR is flat out ignorant.

And please don't come here and preach about his respect. What he does is a great thing to the community, but his followers are nothing more then puppets that whatever he says is law is a joke. I bet half to all those "beta members" would be singing a different tune if they were not getting free hardware.

I have never seen this in my 4 years of doing file hosting, never! Fricken bandwagon followers is what they are. They first bitched about not having enough drivers. There was no bitching back then when the leaks were out for download, ironically the ones who are bitching are "beta members" and they happened to be "moderators" and "administrators"... Hmmmmm.

Run a website for a good amount of time and talk to a variety of webmasters. I can guarantee you that they will comply and never put up anykind of dismay if they know it will stop the flow of hardware. How do you think they get the free hardware? The review samples? The first previews... You think that is just a nice jesture.

Your, no one is "making" them do anything ... is flat out wrong my friend. When you are in this business you see the darkside of webmastering that is never shown on the front pages of websites or revealed to visitors.
