Nv BSOD When Surfing Through Pics

I do hard core gaming and have lots of fun on the web and do most stuff but when i browse through pic folders like city pics i took or good old babes, after awhile of moving through pics i get a blue screen with an Nvidia or nv error but never see it with games of any kind.

Ok usually games bring out this kinda stuff but just browsing pics.

Is their a file extension that brings this behavior out?

Yes there is a common file extension that is usually misspelled and causes trouble understanding it most of the time. It also is a common cause of logic controller failures. The file extension is .BGMON otherwise known as .BIGMAN

I did play witht he scalling options in nvidia to monitor scalling and it hasen't bsod yet.

I did use nvidia scalling cuz i was getting 4:3 aspect in games that use 1600 1200 res when in nvidia scalling i got full screen so is this to copret or do i need to leave it on default monitor scalling? Its a dell 24 Ultrasharp too.

I also use Nvidia scaling because every resolution was being stretched to 16:9 on my monitor and I hate stretching the picture. The Nvidia scaling puts black bars on the side of 4x3 pictures and doesn't stretch it to fit my widescreen which I prefer.

SO if i use monitor scalling than i will have borders?

I been using this screen for a few years now and up to recentrly i got those black bars on the sides with later drivers in games like MOHAA or other 4:3 based games.

I never seen strechting before but now i see those side borders so with nvidia scalling it fills those in but with a dell ultrasharp whats good?

I have no idea about your monitor but I was saying I was getting stretching on mine, which I hate, until I turned on Nvidia scaling and now it gives me black bars on the sides which I prefer because it keeps the aspect ratio correct. Stretching looks like crap.

Edit: I guess I should have been more specific. I use Nvidia Scaling with fixed-aspect ratio. Regular Nvidia Scaling says it stretches.

Just try out the different options and stick with what you like best.

That won't effect file extensions for images to force a nv bsod would it?

I lawys for years used default for lcd but since a year ago its been weird to setup but it might be lust a bug in the drivers too .

There shouldn't be a reason for this to affect any file extensions that I can think of.
