I've got 6GB (3x2GB) Corsair Dominator 1600MHz memory and was wondering if adding the Ram Airflow fan from Newegg for $25 is worth it? I haven't ventured into overclocking the ram yet. My question is after reading the reviews from Newegg (I know not the best way to inform yourself) but most say the fan doesn't sit on the memory very snug. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these and would you recommend it?

I'd say not really needed IF you have decent side case fans or a big CPU air cooler. If you have water and a side fan that's not right for the ram, it might be an idea. Also if sound is an issue, I can't imagine it would run quiet at all.

Run Prime95 and after 15 mins if the ram is hot then yes I would.

Well right now during non gaming my temps are 45 Celsius on 2 sticks and the other stick is at 54 Celsius (consistently monitoring with CPUID). Which leads me to my next question, since I'm only using Win XP is it only utilizing the one stick of ram, thus causing the 9 degree difference ?
