View Full Version : slow performance with quadro 750 xgl

Performance is quite sluggish in normal viewing mode under RH7.3 on my machine using a quadro 750 xgl board. When placed into hw stereo performance is much better. My colleague has a lower-end nvidia board and gets much better performance (it doesn't support stereo).

We bought a number of these specifically to use hw stereo under linux in our company, but can't deploy until this is resolved. Also, we want to recommend to customers but cannot do so until this issue is resolved.

This sluggishness been the case for the last 2+ drivers.

this is a documented bug, that when the STEREO flag is enabled in your XF86config file applications fly in stereo mode but crraaawwwl (read 'software rendering') in mono. I was informed by an Nvidia rep that the problem has been officially addressed and should be in a driver release in the weeks to come...
