I just downloaded Win7 RTM from MS. [Archive]

The name of the file is:

7100.0.090421-1700_x64fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culxfrer_en_dvd.iso

I was already running RC build 7229. I have not installed the RTM yet since it says it cannot upgrade the RC. Of course, the latest RC that I grabbed from a torrent was also called RTM and it was build 7600.16385.

I guess I'm a little confused with the naming of the RTM file I just downloaded. Different development branch?

That is not RTM, it RC1 build 7100 released on 21 April 2009 at 5pm. :p

Welcome!" blah blah...

I thought they closed the RC/beta downloads weeks ago to the general public.

Well, I didn't install this 7100 I downloaded today, but I almost did :-)

I got the email also. Was excited and checked TechNet, but no RTM. It's k. I can wait.
