Another thread about this "soccer" thing, eh? Watch a real sport, like NASCAR. :D

"They're making a left turn!" NASCAR is the easiest sport to follow when you're hammered.

Ever wonder how ol' Fireball got his nickname? He burned to death. Now that's a real man's sport. :D

Don't get me started about golf. Golf...that word alone sounds like someone got kicked in the gut. It gives one the impression that someone needs to change their britches. If you ask me, I think soccer should be played...with guns. (crazy)

Golf is fun to play but oi, I never have considered watching it.

Right now it is all about soccer. I set my DVR every Saturday to catch the matches.

In football there are only 2 rules:

If it moves, kick it.
If it doesn't, kick it until it does.

While I like (and watch) SOCCER (thank god for Fox Soccer Channel in the US), I just wanted to remind you all that REAL FOOTBALL starts next Sunday (Hall of Fame Week Game...Buffalo (now with more TO) vs. Tennesee.

This weekend was mostly filled with X-Games. There where some massive crashes/slams this year...And that Big Air Ramp is FREAKING insane...

America doesn't even play the game seriously and now you (as an American) want to dictate what the game should be called?!?!?!?

If it isn't the Seahawks, I won't watch it.

I do have the Fox Soccer channel this year so I can watch as many Arsenal games as they televise this year.

Aww get over it. We have the NFL Football as we call it. We can call it what ever we like in our own country. Suck it up nancy and finish your stadium before the World Cup or I will come down there and crack skulls. :D

It's all about Liverpool.

And their never ending quest to win the premiership. We should have bought Michael Owen. He would have come for 1/4th his normal wage, and would have played every game like his last. He has become a Robbie Fowler, a lost legend. We lost the Roy Evans core with Holier. It's taken us this long to recover.

Robbie never wanted to leave.

Owen wanted to leave for the big bucks. I'd rather have had the heart of Fowler any day.

But the American ownership, as with Manchester, has basically drowned the club in debt. Are there no fiscally responsible americans anymore?

The only real football is played with feet.

:bleh:

Btw, anyone else think it's daft that established sports get the shaft even while the yearly X-Games setup gets extensive coverage?

I hope that by "established sports" you don't mean soccer in the US. not even his holy Beckhamness could change that, Posh's breasticles were given more tv time. hockey is more established in the US than soccer. and don't gripe about the X Games, it only happens twice a year and it produces some pretty freaking cool highlights.

It's true, soccer will always be a second class citizen in the US. I'm ok with that. I still love soccer, love my Sounders and love my Red Army.

I like soccer...I LOVE football (american), but hey, I'm a product of my environment...

As for X-Games, it was fantastic this year, but not as good as last...That "Big Air Ramp" is freaking insane...They drop in from near the CEILING at Staples center...That is WAY up there guys...And Pestrana (spelling?) attempting that crazy ass trick on his bike was amazing...
