I have a problem with nVidia drivers in Windows 7 RTM. I experience sudden computer restarts, and/or visual glitches - screen flickering. Every now or then, after a sudden restart, I get the "system experienced a serious error (nvlddmkm)" dialog. When I browse the web in Firefox, I see small white dots or strips flickering on images. Turning off Windows Aero increases system staiblity, when it is turned on - restarts are very frequent. Changing the drivers doesn't help. I tried 186.06 and 186.31 that Windows downloads automaticaly from Windows Update. What can be a cause of those problems? Overheating GPU? broken drivers? Windows XP works perfectly, games are working - so it seems that the card is OK.

Asus V57N, GeForce 9650 GT M.

i had some graphical corruption with the 185 drivers in windows 7 but no errors or stability problems... the corruption is gone now with the latest drivers (190.38) for me... try the latest official drivers from nvidia which are 186.03 for the 9650 m

I had a problem a while back where the fan on my graphics card stopped spinning causing it to overheat and eventually crash. I wonder if that is what's happening in your case?

To to it, I use RivaTuner and have it start with Windows. I manually set the fan control to 'Auto' and have not had the problem since.

Am running Windows 7 RC (not RTM), but this may still be of help to you.

Good luck!
