Yecch. I got 5991 on a 5900 Ultra, at 4xAA, 8xAF, quality settings. I got 6137 with everything set to highest performance and no AA and no AF.

That has to have been the most bland benchmark I have ever seen. Even less action than the stalker in-game movie :P

This thing looks horrible, so why does it run so bad? I got like 3500 or something (wasn't really paying attention). Nasty slow downs on a Athlon XP 2000+ and GeForce 3, i know my rig isn't top of the line, but its not weak either. I've played games that look better then this in a higher resolution and they still run faster.

6854 with 4XAA/8AF quality settings, on a P4 3Ghz and a GFFX 5800@500/960.

this bench has been around for the better part of a year (or more i dunno)

The reason it runs so crap is because it was made for a console not a pc. I would guess that a lot (if not all) of the operations are being done via cpu.

A good test would be to get someone with a gf2mx and a high end p4 to run this bench.

the demo was made for pc its really to test if you can play the game or not

1500 you can play but will lag
2500 you can play with lil or no lag
4000 you should not have any lag

i think thay put it in a low rez because more people can handel the bench that way
otherwise if it was high rez less people can handel and less people would look forward to getin the game

im sure thay had there resons

Because

is that better.

It is in low res because it was made for a tv not a monitor.

Until they start putting in code for gpu/vpu's on todays market, not just emulating a bunch of code on your processor, i will not consider it "made" for a pc.

I got 4703 with my current setup. It's surprising that there are noticeable slowdowns in multiple parts of this benchmark, considering the fact that it's running at an unacceptably low resolution (anti-aliasing ahoy!) with blurry, low-res textures and relatively simple geometry. Square should try to work on hardware acceleration before this game ships out.

5310 with a XP 2700+ (200x11) and a Ti4600, this is with stuff running in the background tho, wasn't gonna shutdown my DLs for this...

what a crappy looking game!
