It is an amazing accomplishment.
Once the "main" record was broken, whatever it was, 9.89 or something, i kind of lost interest though.

Seoul 1988, Ben Johnson hit 9.79.

When he was DQ'd for steroids, Carl Lewis' time of 9.92 was ratified.

Since then, it has gradually been brought down by Lewis, Bailey, Christie, Greene and Powell and then Bolt basically just took a samurai sword to it and ripped the history books asunder.

He is a true once in a lifetime sprinter. There is no way he should be able to move his legs and get the turnover he gets at his height. He has the same rate of turnover as Gay, but Gay is several inches shorter. Plus it seems no one can match Bolt's top-end speed. When he burst out between 20-70 meters, he was moving faster than anyone I have ever seen before in the 100m sprint

The chubby dude made me laugh. I thought he was going to eat it for a little bit, he seemed ready to topple over.

But you know the best thing about this is the fact that a couple of months ago he was in a car accident.

Foe heavens' sake if I were in that same accident I would have lost the use of both my legs. But not him ... he just goes ahead and break the record for the fastest 100m ever.

EDIT: I know ....

... does anyone remember that show ... "The Million Dollar Man with Steve Austin" ... ;)

It wasn't a bad car accident. His passenger was fine too.

His only real injury was getting out of the car, he stepped on thorns or a cactus or something and needed minor surgery to remove them.

The dude is simply one of the most impressive athletes in the world right now. Even at 9.58 sec, he looked like he was totally cruising.

The bald photographer dude was almost having a heart attack trying to chase Bolt who wasn't even jogging...lmao.

A DNA sample needs to be take of Usain Bolt pronto (while in his prime - and stored in a high security laboratory) ... for possible genetic engineering application on others in the future.
