Otherwise the poll can be manipulated.

IE: If there are 4 votes for yes and 5 for no, I can seriously believe I want to vote 'no' for that issue but I will really vote for 'yes' because I want to even out the score.

What happens if you do not wish to vote though? You cannot view the results then;)

Make them click a button to abstain and then never allow them to vote in the entire forum again. :lol:
