Since nvidia GT300 is going to be around 500mm compared to ATI's 338mm chip size ,I look for the nvidia card to run hot if they set the speed fast enough to be a lot faster then the ATI chip. This is just IMO I think ATI is going to have the better card and better features ,I think it is just going to be the best card to buy this time around.I could be wrong nvidia may come out with a killer chip ,but looking at the rummor yields it will be a surprise to me if they do come out with a winning card.

Supposedly NVIDIA was targetting a 225W envelope for a single-GPU board, it can raise (lowering it doesn't look to me like a winner for NVIDIA, who never usually strives for power saving but performance, no matter the cost)

About raising clocks to match ATI ones... hmmm... don't know what to say, but I would not expect it... the reported clock speed wasn't something like 700MHz? I don't think NVIDIA will go 1GHz, THAT would be a heat attractor, at least... not for now... with 28nm process (at least the 'risky' production mode) coming for late Q1/summer, maybe they can give it a try, but for now? not sure... but my guess is a no-no.

Just as long as two (or three) work with my new p/s (that I haven't put to real use yet).
Still don't know whether I'll be going NV or ATI this time. Been aiming for NV so far-but if the cash flow's at the right time, I may go for whom ever has something (high end dx11)available to order.
